Charged me for xrays of my dogs painful paw when they knew it was a bee sting. Stinger was removed and they denied ever seeing or removing stinger. When i bought her in i saw stinger... didnt realize what it was ( looked like a small brown dot) then it was magically gone with a red spot taking its place.

This place is just horrible. I found an abandoned stray kitten only a couple of days old and I called this place to see if anything could could be done for her. They immediately turned her down, although they did recommended an emergency pet clinic that might be able to take her in. Well, I went there and they didn't want to help her either, which really upset me as well but I won't get into that. Both places told me to take her to a shelter and the next day I did take her, but because she was so young they would have put her down. So I decided that I would try my best to help the kitten survive and she did well for a few days. I fed her every two hours, stimulated her to go potty, I kept her warm...I did everything I could to keep her going. I researched all that I could but it still wasn't enough. She needed medical help, but nobody wanted to take a look at her without pay which I didn't have enough of, especially since this place is so damn expensive. One morning she was unresponsive out of nowhere and of course I started panicking and called this place to see if they would let me take her and they said it was fine to bring her in this time. She passed away on the way there. I still brought her in, in tears, not knowing what to do next. They told me they could start an emergency CPR...which starting price was $500. The whole experience was absolutely horrible. I believe that if they really did care for animals, they would have helped sooner. All I wanted was for that kitten to have a chance at life and they took that from her.

I paid $500 for the doctor to tell me nothing was wrong and provided me a pain medication that causes slight sedation. She also stated that my cats will be back to normal in a day. It's been 2 days, my cat hasn't eaten, hasn't drank, and is incoherent. So he is now admitted to a different clinic to receive actual treatment. We were told he is severely dehydrated and there is possible internal bleeding which should have been checked when we took him to the VCA.

Found later that they had complaints against this place and this dr johnson.

Don't get me wrong, I understand the cost of caring for a pet is expensive and I'm willing to pay them. But I do expect results, things to be done correctly, and professionalism.

Friend told me based on her syptoms and the description and pics i took that it was bee sting.

Miss diagnosed our young puppy who had PARVO! He went in on 11-6-17 for vomiting, diarrhea and lethargic. She did blood work and x rays and told us he is full of gas. He will pass this in a day or so and gave us medication for nausea. We woke up the next morning and he could hardly stand on his own, so we went to our vet. He immediately tested him for PARVO and tested positive. He is in a severe state and now being taken to emergency hospital for treatment. When I heard that I said there is no way that diagnosis is right. At the moment we felt the diagnosis was wrong we should have gone for a second opinion right then. With Parvo you do not have extra days it is critical! VCA has contacted us and will help us make sure our pet pulls through this by working with the location hes at. VCA is going to make the situation right and we thank them for that. They have had a Dr. that is a specialist in parvo contact the location where our pet is to verify all is being done to save him that can be done. Just trust your heart and if it feels wrong ask someone else it can save a pet. Still praying for Levi.

Magically when i got her home she wss back to normal.. swelling gone ... let me touch het foot... and running around... none if which she could do when i brought her in!

(0*)The prices were extremely high and we cared for our parrot just as they said. The medication had no effect and the food they prescribed didn't either. In fact it seemed as though he was debilitated by the medication. I don't know much for animal medical care but I would've loved a shot or something that directly strengthened his immune system. Again; I wouldn't know. But $1k+ For X-Rays -Isn't affordable for the majority of us who care for our Bestfriends- Mostly because that was just the charge for X-Rays; who knows how much the following procedure would be... In that I'm sure. And please don't bother calling in three days to ask about his well being. Because he's dead and you're $200 richer and I'm left with 10oz. Of accumulated useless medication and a deep whole in my heart and that of my family's. Thank you; for doing so little. It's wierd how you work so much with pets, and you can't develop a heart for them.

Not only is this place pricey, the staff is rude and uncaring. The doctor is unprofessional and does a half ass job. I do not recommend coming here if you are having an emergency. All you will get is a high bill, no answers, and rude service.
